September 2008 - On Monday 1 September 2008 BIGEN AFRICA launched its Power of Purpose - an initiative aimed at BIGENites generating and implementing practical ideas that will positively influence our internal and external environment, beyond 2010.

16 April 2008 - The desperate need for experienced engineers in South Africa is emphasised by recent research of the South African Institution of Civil Engineers with related comments from its former president, Allyson Lawless, about civil engineering being at the heart of government service delivery.

April 2008 - Johann Human joins BIGEN AFRICA as a Director and will head up the Land Engineering Services Commercial Structures division.
